Vale Heather Tyter
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Diving Victoria Life Member and valued coach Heather Tyter at the age of 77. Heather passed on 22 May in Bendigo. Heather has long been a fixture on pool deck in Victoria with a storied career of cultivating talent in the Bendigo region. Of particular note was her early development of Olympic gold medallist Chantelle Michell (Newberry). Besides the success of her own daughters in the pool, in recent years she has had several Australian Age Champions in both Kiara Field (4x National Champion) and Abby Rowley (13x National Champion). When she wasn’t coaching, she was in the chair officiating or supporting and encouraging younger divers. She with husband Bob Tyter have worked tirelessly to keep a diving culture thriving in the Bendigo area. Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
Her service has been moved to Tuesday 8 June 2pm and will be streamed live
