Diving Victoria is excited to welcome the next batch of emerging coaches into the sport.
Held from the 13-15 November, the Level 1 Coaches Course provides the ground-level training for aspirants looking to join the coaching ranks.
Among other areas, the Level 1 Coaches Course syllabus includes Risk Management, Entries, Platform Approach and Take-Off, Springboard Take-Off, Aerial Position, Body Alignment, Core Stability and Dry land Training.
Although potential coaches come from anywhere, many aspiring coaches are current or former divers themselves looking to become more involved in the sport.
Diving Victoria SEO Matthew Duck said that graduates of the course would go on to become the next crop of leaders in the sport.
“Coaches wield so much influence in any sport, and ours is no exception. Finding quality people to help shape the future of diving is of paramount importance.”
“We have a great opportunity to expand our sport, particularly through regional centres of Victoria, and as a result we strongly encourage anyone who has thought about getting into coaching to contact us and get involved.”
