Spate of recent thefts
Published Tue 24 May 2016
Diving Victoria has been made aware of a series of thefts at both Aquanation and MSAC over recent weeks.
Whilst the thefts have not been linked to any one person or user group at this stage, members are encouraged to remain vigilant and on the look out for suspicious activity.
In instances where valuables are being kept in bags, members are encouraged to keep such valuables to an absolute minimum, and to leave these valuables out of sight. Members are also encouraged to take up lockers where available.
Diving Victoria is working with the management of both facilities, exploring further immediate measures that can be taken to better ensure the safety of belongings.
All members are reminded that any person found to be responsible for theft may ultimately see their membership to both their facility and their sport removed, as well as be subject to criminal charges.
