The Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced on Sunday 6th September 2020 details of a "roadmap" to assist the Victorian community in emerging from lockdown restrictions and returning to a COVID normal. It is clear that although the timeframes indicate an easing of restrictions, it is ultimately dependent upon the case numbers reaching the required levels.

Diving Victoria is currently working with Vicsport and SRV to understand the specific implication of these announcements for the sporting industry, and more importantly, how they apply to our sport.

There are many layers to this complex issue – this will require consultation with government agencies, key stakeholders and members – with all issues requiring careful consideration by the Diving Victoria Board.
