Hynynen-Furler takes up WA role

Published Wed 03 Feb 2016

In an announcement released overnight, Diving Western Australia has appointed Kim Hynynen-Furler as the new Diving WA Coach Development Manager and NEPP Coach.

The position is currently held by Joe Meszaros who is heading home to the UK, completing his role with Diving WA on 20 February. Kim is scheduled to start her new role during the week beginning 15 February.

Many Victorian divers, coaches and officials have had the privilege of working with Kim over the past four years while she has been based in Melbourne as Head Coach of Ringwood Diving Club (RDC) and Methodist Ladies’ College. This was a difficult time for RDC while the creation of Aquanation took away their home base. Kim’s dedication to Diving Victoria as a coach and a judge as well as helping RDC navigate through this challenging period is greatly appreciated.

Acknowledgement by Diving Australia for her contribution and ability as a coach is clear by her official appointment as an NEPP coach.

Diving Victoria congratulates Kim on this appointment and wishes her all the best with this exciting new opportunity. We are grateful for her tireless diving work over the past four years, and hope to welcome her back to Victoria in the not too distant future.
