Final day performances.....

The final day of Age Championships again started off on a high note with Lana Renieris (Whitehorse) placing third and securing the bronze medal in the 11/U girls 3m event. Her performance was followed by the 12/13 girls 1m which included a strong field of 7 Victorian athletes. Leyanna Brown and Penelope Waymark (Ringwood) showed their dominance in this event and were awarded with 2nd and 3rd place respectively, capping off a fantastic competiton for Brown.
Sabine Keenan (Ringwood) took home the silver medal in the 14/15 girls platform event with Caitlin Murphy (PLC) also performing well under pressure. Superstar, Abby Rowley (MelAm) rounded out the girls events with her gold medal winning performance in the 16/18 girls 3m demonstrating her dominance within a huge field of competitors including Piper Bennett, Madison Moore, Caitlin Westcott, Emily Foord and Abbey Tondello (Ringwood); Amy Kenny (Slipstream); Katelyn Farmer and Natasjia Voulanas (PLC); Claire Lumsden and Mia Robinson (Whitehorse) and Sophie Parton (MEDA).
The boys have been exceptional over the past few days with consistent diving from Rohan Blake (PLC) winning another gold medal, this time in the 50+ mens platform event and Reuben Roessler (Ringwood) also securing a gold medal in the 19/24 mens platform event.
Our young men continued to show the strength of Victorian diving with Zach Hutchings (Ringwood) and Xavier Cox (St Kevins) finishing with a gold and bronze medal in the 14/15 boys 1m event which also included performances from Oliver Verner and Timothy O'Connell (St Kevins); Riki Lethbridge (PLC); Thomas Anastsiou (MEDA) and Nathan Brown (Ringwood).
Luca Jarvis (Slipstream) completed his week with another gold medal, this time in the 16/18 boys platform event, whereas Ryan King (St Kevins) was closely behind him in 3rd place and was awarded with the bronze medal. And in the final event - the 13/U boys/mixed 3m synchro - Jordan Youssef and Edward Lee (St Kevins) partnered together to produce a fantastic performance narrowly missing out on 1st place, but securing the silver medal just ahead of Hamish Bottrell and Adelle Schambre Nickless (Ringwood) who won the bronze.
The past 4 days has showcased many wonderful performances from our young Victorian athletes, closing out a highly successul competiton for all involved!
