Divers to descend on Melbourne

Some of the nation’s best divers are set to descend on Melbourne in the coming month to compete at back-to-back Australian Domestic Grand Prix events over consecutive weekends in December.
The first of the consecutive Australian Domestic Grand Prix’s to be held in Melbourne will be at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Park from Sunday the 6th to Tuesday the 8th of December. Significantly, the competition will double as the 2016 World Cup Trials, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The second of the Australian Domestic Grand Prix’s will occur on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of December at Aquanation in Ringwood, and doubles as the 2015 Oceania Championships, showcasing the region’s best diving talent.
Diving Victoria State Executive Officer Matthew Duck said that the 2015 Australian Diving Grand Prix events would further showcase Victoria’s capacity to host Australia’s largest diving competitions.
“Between MSAC and Aquanation, Victoria is lucky enough to boast two premier diving facilities, and it’s indeed great to have some of the nation’s best in Melbourne in December in the lead-up to an exciting Olympic year”, Duck said.
Diving Australia will also run a High Performance camp in between the two events.

Event 1 of the Australian Domestic Grand Prix incorporating Selection Trials for the 2016 World Cup will be held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Park, 6-8 December 2015.
ADGP: Event 2 & 2015 Oceania Championships
Event 2 of the Australian Domestic Grand Prix incorporating the 2015 Oceania Championships will be held at Aquanation, Ringwood, 12 & 13 December 2015.
