Country Champs Hail New Stars

68 competitors descended on Mildura for their annual pilgrimage to the Victorian Country Championships / Peter & Patricia Morgan Memorial Meet.
Held at the Mildura Waves Aquatic Centre over the 15-17 January and again hosted by Diving Sunraysia, the event featured representatives of Bendigo Divers, Diving Sunraysia, PLC Aquatic, Ringwood Diving Club, Slipstream Diving Club and Whitehorse Divers.
In a unique aspect, local sponsors got on board to provide some great awards. Mildura SportsPower gave away $600 value in prizes, while local petroleum group Tasco provided the unique incentive of cash prizes based on points scored. The result saw Whitehorse diver Shiori Bak walk away with the winners purse worth $213, with prizes also for those finishing second to fourth.
