Age Nationals – Day 3 Competition (Saturday 16/4).

Day 3 proved to be quite a successful day in the pool for Team Victoria.

Starting with the Girls 12/13 3m spring, 21 girls lined up to compete. 1^st and 2^nd places were taken out by NSW with Caitlin Westcott taking out 3^rd place. Not far behind was Zoe Adam-Gedge (5^th). Isobelle Brosnahan and Piper Bennett came in 8^th place, Holly Kenealy (10^th) and Sophie Bumpstead (11^th). Well done girls.

In the Men’s 19-29 1m spring Corey Bruno came in 2^nd place behind NSW – less than 4 points difference. Also in the Women’s 19-29 1m spring, Sarah Gardner also came in 2^nd behind NSW with QLD taking out the 3^rd place.

The Men’s 30-49 1m spring saw NSW take the top spot, while Rohan Blake and Dean Murphy took 2^nd and 3^rd places respectively.

Next up was the Girls U11 platform. A good morning in the pool for this age group. Kiara Field took the top spot with Olivia Roche coming in 2^nd.  SA came in 3^rd place and Lea Malina took out the 4^th spot.

Going into lunch we had Boys 16-18 1m spring. Some truly amazing diving was on display, with Cooper Read taking top position, closely followed by Jordan Thein in 2^nd place. SA again took 3^rd spot and Marc Jencik completed the morning’s success in 4^th place.

12/13 Boy’s platform was the second last event for the day, with NSW and WA taking out the top 3 spots. Josh Herington came in a very solid 5^th place.

Last event for the day – again some amazing diving on display in the 14-18 Girls synchro 3m spring. With NSW and QLD taking out 1^st and 2^nd place respectively, Abby Rowley & Amy Kenny came in 3^rd in a nail biting finish. Sophia James & Anjali Jackson (5^th), Matilda Baker & Elise Marcun (6^th), Jenna Healy & Billie Bennett (7^th) all dived well. Pyper Byrne & Hanna Vlamis (8^th), Courtney Gow & Emily Foord (13^th) and Paris Hefford & Claire Lumsden (14^th) completed a large field of divers in this exciting event.

Day 3 has shown some of the best diving so far. Well done everyone!
