CLUB CHALLENGE SERIES SUMMARY

The 2023/24 Club Challenge Series is a series of competitions suited to all levels of divers from beginners through to open; it provides competition experience and the opportunity for divers to monitor their progress throughout the season. Divers must be registered as financial members of Diving Victoria to compete. Divers may compete on Springboard (either 1m or 3m).

REMINDERS:

• If you wish to change a DiveSheet AFTER 9am Thursday, please contact the Diving Victoria Event Manager (details below).
• If you wish to make any changes AFTER 9am Friday, a decision will be made by the Chief Referee for the event, diver will not earn points if the change is accepted.
• If you would like to withdrawal from the event without a Medical Certificate, this must be done before 9am Thursday to receive a refund. If you are to withdrawal after this deadline, to receive a refund, a Medical Certificate must be provided.

Eligibility:

• Divers must be registered as financial members of Diving Victoria to compete in this event.
• Participation Divers may only compete in any level of the Club Challenge Series.
• State Level Divers & Coaches may compete in any level of the Club Challenge Series or the Qualifier Events.

There will be 6 Club Challenge Series Events in the 2023/24 Season:

1. Sunday 10th September, MSAC, AM (Age Qualifier)

2. Sunday 22nd October, Aquanation, PM (Open Qualifier)

3. Saturday 24th February, MSAC, AM (Elite Junior Qualifier)

4. Sunday 24th March, Aquanation, AM (Age Qualifier)

5. Saturday 18th May, MSAC, AM (Open Qualifier)

6. Saturday 29th June, Aquanation

PLEASE CONSULT YOUR COACH BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THIS EVENT!

Diving Victoria will also be trialling a new scheduling initiative that will see our CCS Levels 1, 2 & 3 springboard athletes enjoy their very own warm-up before showcasing their talents as our first Event for the day.

Following Event 1, there will then be a 45 minute Open Warm Up for all other CCS Level competitors before Event 2. 

Finally, Diving Victoria will also be running a revitalised Introduction to Judging Workshop on this day. This Workshop will coincide with the Open Warm Up referenced above and will provide the perfect opportunity for those that may be interested in learning more about judging our beautiful sport. More information regarding this Workshop will be communicated early next week.

3m Synchronised Event Requirements:

- Four (4) dives in total (2 dives from any 2 groups (automatic DD of 2.0) + 2 dives from any 2 groups)

- All dives must be performed from the 3m springboard

- To compete in the 3m Synchronised Event each athlete must be registered to compete in an individual event at CCS#6
